Learning to Receive

This won't be a long blog - on purpose.  I'd rather you read less words and let them find a comfy place inside you to settle in.  I have bits from a recent lecture to share.

We actually may need practice learning to receive!  We get in giving modes.  We give, give, give.  Perhaps asking for more, without keeping score, is a healthier approach.

Do self care, self-love style, DAILY.

Most people say they want more fun in their lives but they are so darned busy...........  Starting may be challenging so start tiny - like write post-it notes - to get rolling.

HUG YOURSELF!  Endorphins increase when you do.  It's all good.

Ya know, we can make all kinds of changes in our lives but if we don't get into that heart and soul of ourselves, sometimes what we try to change just doesn't seem to work.

This is a food-for-thought blog.  So what do you think?

  1. Yes...beautiful, perfect. May we learn to receive. Open ourselves up to What's Trying to Get In. Thank you. May it be so--for all of us.

  5. My captcha code is not working right either and I think it is costing me commenters...I am trying to find that program that is just a check off box that says you are not a spammer or SEO robot...

I have so much trouble getting up in the mornings, I am started giving myself a massage all over before I official rise. It does give me a boost...
I seem to lack endorphins even from all the walking I do....I find it frustrating and exhausting

  6. My endorphins have got so low even tho' I take a 2.6 or 3 1/2 mi. hike, with much elevation everyday. I'm 79.
I used to do 60 & 100 mi. bike rides tho'.) The endorphins were great! Must have felt like what morphine or cocaine do :D

If you've "started officially", do accountability. Give yourself a star on a calendar. Whatever works.

    1. Hi Cynthia and Patricia! So glad you've been chatting here :) How sweet! I'm recovering from a food poisoning bout - ugh - remind me not to eat in restaurants! Takes a few days to really feel like working out again. When I work out with my Wii it gives me a star for every day I show up. I LOVE that!

  8. Wow. You're timing is perfect for me. I had a pretty big set-back early this week and I wondered if I get pull myself out. I did and it was from doing things like walking outside or sitting and just watching the birds eat my feeder. By giving some love to myself, I think it easier to let go of my frustration.

    Thanks for this post, Susan.
