Never Be Sick Again - Read This!

We have traveled to the largest industrial park you can imagine.  Around this park is a security wall designed to keep out intruders, to prevent the loss of essential materials, and to regulate the passage of materials in and out of the park.  Inside this park are powerhouses designed to make the energy necessary to keep the park working.  These powerhouses, in turn, require fuel, oxygen and other essentials on a round-the-clock basis in order to do their jobs.

Also inside the park are different factories and manufacturing plants that require a continuous supply of energy and raw materials in order to meet their daily quota of finished products.  Coordinating all these activities are computer and communication systems that regulate the delivery of raw materials and the removal of wastes, as well as the production, storage and distribution of finished products.  All of these systems are bsed upon a set of design blueprints containing all the information necessary to build a new park.

Kind of incredible when you think about it, isn't it?  What if I told you this is a description of ONE CELL in your body?  Because it is, according to the author of "Never Be Sick Again", Raymond Francis.  One cell.  Just One!  Studying Body Chemistry really isn't boring - it is totally fascinating.  Our cells are what make our life possible so it sure can't hurt to understand a little bit about them.

Each of us is made up of seventy-five TRILLION cells, in 200 or more categories - never cells, blood cells, muscle cells, bone cells, etc.  - and they are all communicating with one another at all times.  Each cell is like that industrial park!

Author Francis breaks down the source of disease on a cellular level by saying disease is cellular malfunction based on only two causes - deficiency and toxicity.  If we want good health and a disease free life, it boils down to keeping our cells in good health.  Since our cells are constantly dying and reproducing themselves, by reproducing cells that are NOT healthy we are setting off a chain reaction.  Get enough malfunctioning, abnormal cells bopping around and you will start receiving symptoms of a disease in the making - or not.  Sometimes you will have no symptoms at all but those cells, the badly reproduced ones, need to be taken care of or you definitely are headed toward disease.  It's a guarantee you do not want.

I've read a boat load of books on health and wellness, nutrition, alternative medicine, holistic living, herbology, physiology - most of which you might find as exciting as watching paint dry - but if I had pick one book, just one, to recommend to all of you - THIS is it!

Francis is so easy to read, lots of stories, examples like the industrial plant, and offers up the number one easiest to understand book on having optimum health that I have ever read!  His very simple "theory" of health and disease is:

One disease - Cellular malfunction
Two Causes - Deficiency and/or Toxicity
Six Pathways - Nutrition, Toxin, Psychological, Physical, Genetic and Medical

He goes into each Pathway in depth and will clear up any confusion you have about what makes for a healthy body.  The back pages of the book have wonderful sources for more information and recommendations on products.  He covers it ALL - all in one book.  If I could, I would make this book required reading by every adult in the world.  And as one of my favorite people, Dr. Mercola, says "Take control of your health!"  NEVER BE SICK AGAIN!

  1. Hi SuZen .. certainly an interesting analogy & one that is obviously right .. and every cell that dies could be replaced by one that's been well nurtured or one that holds a forbidding future ..

Thanks for the book recommendation - I'll (hte to say it) .. add it to my list of reads ..

Great post to remind us never to be sick again .. look after ourselves .. lock stock and barrel cell ... thanks - Hilary

  2. Have you read "Biology of Belief" by Bruce Lipton? He's a cell biologist who believes in the huge power of the mind/soul to determine health. Don't you think that Raymond Francis should have a 7th avenue of health: spiritual? I agree wholeheartedly, though, it's high time people took control of their health and stopped treating doctors like gods. Great post!!

  3. Hello SuZen, as I lay at home studying nutrition and trying to absorb information that makes my eyes cross, I wonder why there is not a book that explains it all in laymen terms and then pzzzow, I get your post.

I'm so glad that we are traveling along similar paths although, it makes me need you all the more.

    Love ya, Jillian

  4. Hey suZen,

I hadn't heard of this book before, but it sounds intriguing.

A scientist friend and I often talk about the continued degradation of cells as they reproduce. This strikes home with many of the conversations we've had and has me thinking.

Thanks so much for the book recommendation.
    Keep up the good work.

  5. Hi Hilary! I hate to admit it too, my book bill is outrageous. I've long ago passed on any fiction whatsoever - no time and no inclination toward anything that isn't real.

Hi Maryse! Francis covered the mind/soul in the psychological pathway. I agree it is a huge part of our health! The Lipton book is on my shelf of To Read Yet! I've heard it's wonderful - I'll get there :)

Hi Jillian! Well there ya go! So glad this was a timely read for you! I think you will certainly get TONS of info from this book. I think it's a great ALL around look at health. Hey if you want more books to read, or anything specific, shoot me an email. I have quite the library! :)

I am so ready not to be ill again...or yet again...

  8. Like Maryse I too love Bruce Lipton, and I bet I will also love Raymond Francis. It is sooo obvious, what you put in comes out. However if you live in sewerage you are not likely to smell it anymore, are you. I think that is the problem, so many people do not even realize they live in a garbage tip and that they eat it too. xox Wilma.

  9. Hi Patricia! I know you are working on it! Fall in love with yourself and the process. It was lessen the frustration/impatience. I am so proud of you for sticking with it!

  10. Hi Wilma! You're right, so many are oblivious to their garbage diets unless or until they become ill. Then they have this OMG what happened? attitude, or the I must be getting old stinkin thinkin. Then instead of changing their diets (since they cannot accept that is what brought on their "condition") they run to the doctor for pills. Yeah, Wilma, it is a mess of misunderstanding.

  11. I am glad to see 'psychological' in the list. I am absolutely fascinated by the mind/body connection. We can literally think ourselves sick.

Thank you for this review. I am making note of it to add to my reading list.

  12. Suzen -- I am learning so much from your posts. I will check out this book. I agree with a lot of the other people who left comments...there's such a strong connection between mind and body. Not that this means we can think ourselves healthy, while continuing to expose ourselves to unhealthy foods, etc. Both body and mind have to WORK together to create a healthy state of being.

Thanks for being such a good health mentor:~)

  13. Hi Eliza! Boy could I recommend a few more books if that area is of interest! Try "Evolve Your Brain" by Joe Espinoza. Or the many books by Lynn McTaggart on energy fields.

Hi Sara! It takes ALL of ourselves to be healthy. I know of a gal who is the angriest, most frustrated person I know. She thinks she is really healthy. It's like waiting for the other shoe to drop - I know she is in for it and it is sad to watch it. I can't help her because she so doesn't see a problem and can't get off of her anger.

Happy to be a health mentor! Thank you!

  14. HI Suzen,
This is like a wow post for me. I knew of the mind body soul connection...but the cells..and how they work..its just wow! Fascinating is the right word you used.
As a collective team..all parts of us need to work together to achieve certain level of harmony.
I love the review of this book..and will be sure to check it you. Be rest assured..I am picking this up....
I always learn so much form your every time i come here.
    So Much Love,
    Z~

  15. Hi Suzen,

Excellent post! When I was on the monastic path, one of my teachers taught us that it takes the body seven years to rid itself from the effects of one episode of anger. His point was that the thoughts and emotions that we have effect our body. He taught us about how cells regenerate too.

So in addition to eating as natural as possible, it was equally important to have thoughts and feelings rooted in love. Which explains why every single one of my teachers glowed and looked half their age.

    This is amazing

Each of us is made up of seventy-five TRILLION cells.

    Here's my mantra:
Every little cell in my body is happy, every little cell in my body is well!

Of course I'm eating pretty healthy and exercising as well.

75 trillion cells? Wow... I am an abundant being! (smile) I had to re-read the part you wrote about what causes an unhealthy cell (deficiency or toxicity). It gave me pause, especially when I consider my diet, which is where my focus has been lately. I continue to whittle away the food stuffs I think cause me harm (because they're not "food"), and am adding more natural, whole foods. But every so often I get a craving for a non-food (like right now... Eeeeeee!). I can no longer think about optimal health as separate from that which I DO, THINK & SAY. Self-healing has many aspects to it, as does optimal health. I'm owning more of that in my life right now, and continue to be thankful for the good information you've brought my way.

Sounds like an awesome book -- truly awesome.

    Thank you, SuZen!

  18. Mind boggling, suZen! All those cells floating around wanting my attention. So I'm gonna go make a salad and make them happy like Tess' cells.

  19. Hi Zeenat! Yes the body is one miracle isn't it? When you really study how wonderfully we are made it is a lot easier to give it the kind of fuel it needs to run properly.

Hi Nadia! Yes that glow comes from a good combo of things - I am sure working on getting mine going!

Hi Tess! I've no doubt you have a lot of happy little cells - keep 'em that way!

Hi Megan! It's wonderful how you've done so much to change or at least bring a new awareness to everything! Don't ya sometimes wish we'd been taught all this stuff years ago? I sure do! So much mis-information out there and we believed it all. At least I can say that with using the past tense now! :)

Hi Patty! We are all such amazing creatures and I've really enjoyed learning about the body, body chemistry and all the "stuff" I never knew I would get into at all! Trust me, science was not on my list of favorites - ever - but now? Love it!
